Cedar Chapel Special School Olympics are currently being held on Thursday afternoons at Stephen Decatur Middle School. Two qualifying tournaments are required to advance to Special olympic Maryland's Fall Festival. This is a great opportunity to watch our students demonstrate thier athletic abilities.

2009-2010 Training Times and Locations:

Soccer-Stephen Decatur Middle School on Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m

Fall Competitions:

Soccer Qualifier- October 4th- Ft Meade

Soccer Qualifier- October 8th- Berlin Northern Worcester County Fields

Special Olympic Maryland Schedule of Competitions:

Ten Pin Bowling- February 13th and 14th -TBD

Winter Games- February 28th-March 2nd- Wisp Ski Resort

Spring Classic Basketball- March 20th and 21st- District Heights

Summer Games- (swimming,track,bocce, and softball) June 11th -13th- Towson University

All students at Cedar Chapel over the age of eight are encouraged to participate in any of the sports. Students will need to fill out a Special Olympics Participation Form, which includes a medical review, before participating. Students must complete eight weeks of training and compete in required tournaments in order to advance to state competitions.
