Welcome Cedar Chapel

Special Olympics Maryland Lower Shore

oath

Cedar Chapel's soccer team returned from the Fall Sports Festival with a Gold Medal.  In the first game on Saturday, November 27th “The Fire” scored two goals late in the second half to beat a team from Harford County 2-1. Katie West was able to find the goal twice on assists by Rhett Spangler and Frankie Watson. Bruce Baldwin and Donta Smith played strong defense. The Gold Medal game was a defensive struggle with neither team able to score. The game ended in a 0-0 score and then there were two scoreless over time periods. The game then went to penalty kicks.

Cedar Chapel out-scored Anne Arundel 3-2 with Rhett Spangler, Bruce Baldwin and Michael Fentress scoring. The defense was led by T.J. Frampton, T.J. Jones and Michael Craig.  Strong contributions were also made by Carolyn Foster, Ariel Godwin, Leandra Yamishiro, and Troy Croom. The team was coached by Jeanne Helke, Bobby Blessing, and Rick Blessing.
I would also like to thank our volunteers that helped make this a very successful season. Jake and Angela Lathroum, Lee Chisholm and Ainoy Philavanh played key roles in our training. Your help was very important to our athletes and our program.
