It is recommended that all individuals age 6 months and older receive the vaccine for the 2011-2012 seasonal flu. This year’s vaccine provides protection against 3 strains of flu virus that are expected to circulate this season. All people, including pregnant women and those with medical conditions, are strongly recommended to get a flu vaccine each year. Below is a list of several locations that you may obtain your flu shot: Worcester County Health Departments: Peninsula Regional Medical Center: Atlantic General Hospital: There are also several local pharmacies including Walmart, Target, CVS and Walgreens that will have flu vaccines available. The cost and time of there services varies but you can call and check or make an appointment.
